Designers Guild have launched their exciting new collection for spring 2009.

The new Spring 2009 collections of fabrics and wall coverings reflect the quintessential Englishness of the country house and its garden and are imbued with a gentle floral tradition, set against a lively graphic style reminiscent of a bygone age. In addition ‘Manhattan’ Prints offer a dynamic and contemporary new look designed to appeal to the young at heart of all ages.

Colours this season are soft and muted yet with vibrant, clean highlights. Cool and warm neutrals and earth tones counter-pointed with burnished golds and cool silver metallics, sit alongside shades of soft willow, deep moss and lime greens as well as soft pinks , pale aquas and duck egg blues. ‘Manhattan’ offers a vibrant palette of fuchsia pink, scarlets and persimmon as well as turquoise and lime with black highlights.

WHITEWELL FABRIC

Soft floral prints punctuated by graphic and stylised designs, reminiscent of those heady days in the 1930s when a very English art and culture held sway.

WHITEWELL WALLPAPER

Elegant floral designs with a very English decorative appeal - gravure prints, flock prints and new printed and plain grasscloth qualities. Refined pattern evoking a bygone age but completely perfect for now.

MAITLAND

A terrific and varied collection of upholstery weaves including nubbly textures, jacquards, striped and jacquard velvets and stylish chenille/raffia weaves.

A truly stunning collection of silks – jacquard weaves, embroideries and stripes in a wonderful range of colours and textures.

TSUGA WALLCOVERINGS

Fantastic and broad collection of plains, textures and stripes in a huge range of matt and lustrous shades. Printed on non-woven grounds for ease of hanging and excellent durability.

MANHATTAN FABRIC

Crisp, graphic imagery, accessible scale and stunning colour palette makes Manhattan ideal for all those looking for something fresh, vivacious and contemporary.

RINZU FABRIC

Twenty colourways in a stunning tweed effect upholstery weave with a subtle lustrous highlight. Stylish, contemporary and extremely hardwearing.

BILBAO FABRIC

Three plain weaves: heavy taffeta, hard wearing enough for upholstery; plain, soft chenille immensely durable and a finely woven wide width sheer with a subtle glitter effect in a total of well over 100 shades.
