Look out for the following stylish collections now available from
Fabric Gallery and Interiors:
Trade Routes:
This collection of ‘statement papers’ draws upon past print and weave collections in addition to introducing a new selection of stand-out designs to Zoffany’s portfolio.

Damasco Antico:
In this collection of weaves, the Zoffany studio has taken traditional China Blue prints as the theme. These historically important designs were the first indigo blue prints ever produced and are characterised by their simple motifs and unusual dot patterns which are a feature of the printing process. Originally exported mainly to America, few examples survive and are mostly in museums, the most famous of which is the Winterthur Museum near Boston.

Lanark:
This collection comprises four classic designs indicative of our British heritage. Inspired by paisleys and plaids traditionally woven in Scotland for hunfreds of years, soft wools and cool linens are combined to create a relaxed elegance which captures the mood of the moment.
Chantemerle Fabric:
Chantemerle, inspired by 18th century French fabrics, are elegant
re-workings of fine copperplate toiles, block printed indiennes and
hand-painted silks, coloured in both historical and contemporary shades
and printed on beautiful, quality linens. Chantemerle wallpapers range
from serenely classical panels to delicate floral trails and toiles. The
enchanting stories depicted have been translated in the finest detail,
perfectly capturing the romantic beauty of these unique designs.

Chantemerle Wallpaper:
The Chantemerle wallpaper collection comprises large scenic toiles,
small whimsical scenes and contemporary leaf stripes. A mix of
complementary and matching papers, they work equally well paired with the
prints or as stand-alone papers in both classic and contemporary schemes.
Anjolie:
A richly coloured, decoratively patterned, collection of
embroideries, appliqués, and jacquards inspired by hand-made textiles
from the Near, Middle and Far East. The designs and colours have been
adapted for contemporary interiors and are mainly suitable for curtains,
cushions and bedcovers.
Caldecote:
A collection of 4 small-scale woven jacquards and stripes
for upholstery and curtains. The designs are all adapted from fabrics and
documents housed in the Zoffany archive and are woven in a mix of linen,
cotton and viscose to give an English country house feel.
Fleurs Rococo Weaves (and wallpaper):
The five weaves that make up this collection were selected for both
their glorious pattern and multi-coloured appeal. The designs have been
updated from silk brocades and lampases, with some even taking their
influence from embroidered dress fabrics. The inspiration for the
collection, "Oiseaux de Paradis", has been one of Zoffany's most
popular designs for many years..
Verlaine:
Verlaine is a magnificent damask based on a Spitalfield silk design
dating from the 18th century and has been woven in a luxurious silk and
cotton taffeta quality. The design shows a four-over trail of stylised
flowers and leaves with simplified flowing shapes to give the fabric an
updated feel. To complement the damask is a beautiful double-sided plain
woven in silk and cotton "Lotus", where the face shows the shinier
silk surface and the reverse the matter look of the cotton. The colours of
the plain co-ordinate perfectly with the damask and both fabrics are
available in a span of thirteen colour-ways, from traditional shades of
gold and duck egg through to brave shades of emerald and magenta..
Bargello:
This striking collection of richly coloured upholstery weaves has been
designed to capture the hand stitched texture typical of early needlework
and tapestry samples. Although the two patterned fabrics within the
collection are based on traditional designs from museums and archives, the
collection is highly contemporary in feel due to both its stylised design
and broad array of unusual colour-ways. "Deerfield" shows a Jacobean
trail of leaves and flowers and "Bargello" is an up to date geometric
flame-stitch. To complete the collection, there is also the coordinating
"Bargello Plain", which has a subtle flowing stitched effect to
complement the background of the patterned designs..
Murano:
The three richly patterned jacquard designs within the Murano Weaves
collection, are woven in Caserta which has been the traditional centre of
silk weaving in Italy for hundreds of years. Ranging in style from
indienne to oriental they are available in a palette of colours from cool,
contemporary to rich, classic. "Murano" and "Damasco Pirato" are
classically inspired designs, the former featuring motifs of pomegranate
richly woven with an embroidered effect on a silk ground and the latter
taken from a damask design in the Zoffany archive featuring a scrolling
leaf pattern. "Vivaldi" is taken from an antique Japanese kimono and
is richly embroidered with stylised elements of fruit and flowers.
